New Jersey to host new online operator

The

AtlanticCity
Resorts Casino Hotel is to launch an online gambling service in New Jersey in partnership with SNG Interactive, a joint venture between providers NYX Gaming Group and Sportech.

Powered by software from SNG Interactive, ResortsCasino.com is expected to launch later this month as the sixth online gambling operator in the state, with both parties having been granted a transactional waiver by Garden State regulators.

Resorts CEO Mark Giannantonio said: “As New Jersey’s first casino destination, Resorts is committed to delivering the best-in-class online gaming experience in the Garden State by partnering with gaming leaders, including SNG Interactive, which houses Sportech and NYX Gaming Group.

“With SNG’s flexible gaming solutions and exclusive game content, we’re excited to introduce Europe’s industry-leading casino slots and table games to the United States market for the best online user experience.”

New Jersey is now in its second full year of legalised online gambling, with revenue of $122.9m for 2014 falling a long way short of Governor Chris Christie’s prediction of $1bn being generated by July of last year.

Early signs in 2015 point to an improvement however, as total online gaming win for January was up 34.5% year-on-year to $11.6m.
