Hippodrome to open new casino

A new gaming venue is to launch at The Hippodrome Casino in London tonight.

Lola’s Underground Casino is a Las Vegas-style gaming and entertainment establishment offering blackjack and roulette tables alongside dancing girls on podiums and a ‘gin palace’.

The new venue is named after Lola McGuire, a former Hippodrome chorus girl who was later revealed to be the organiser of under-stage after-show parties hosting gambling, drinking and money lending.

The new casino, which will be situated on the Hippodrome’s lower ground floor, is designed to mirror the combined gaming and entertainment experience offered by many venues in Las Vegas.
