According to figures released by the Delaware Lottery, the state’s i-gaming revenue has reached its lowest point since November 2013, when revenue of $111,000 dollars had been posted.

Delaware is one of three US states to have legalised online gambling since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA).

Only 315 accounts were opened on betting sites in October, with $28,000 of revenue coming from online poker, which has fallen by over $75,000 since December 2013.

There are three online gambling operators in Delaware: Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway, with no more expected to enter the market in the near future.

It has been predicted by financial giants Morgan Stanley that the US online gambling industry could generate $5.2bn by 2020 and that 20 more states will have legalised it by that time.
