TonyBet first operator to be granted Lithuanian gaming licence
Online gaming company TonyBet, has been granted the first remote gaming device certificate in Lithuania, following a change in the law that compelled all gaming operators in the country to apply for one.
Testing and certification specialists NMi facilitated TonyBet’s licence application.
“The new gambling law created a lot of fuss in the Lithuanian poker community,” said TonyBet representative, Warren Lush.
“The new regulations require every online gaming provider to apply for a licence, otherwise they’re considered illegal… Being aware of this problem we needed to have our online poker system certified as comprehensively and efficiently as possible, so we turned to NMi.”
TonyBet has been operating in the online poker business for almost three years on an international scale. Lush added: “We run big online poker series a few times a yearl, however the current €100,000 guaranteed Glory Series is the biggest one yet.
“We’re really happy to have been able to welcome our Lithuanian players just before its start.”
