Azteca invest $1M in Fantasy Network

Mexican broadcaster Azteca TV has confirmed that it will invest up to 1$ million in Fantasy Network, a daily fantasy sports supplier. In addition, the agreement includes a media package of $10m committed in advertising a future DFS brand that will be launched in the LATAM region. This enterprise investment will be spread over three years.

The strategic partnership aims to expand the services of the DFS software provider in Mexico in particular, since it remains a market opportunity largely untapped in the LATAM region.

Barak Eisenstein, Fantasy Network CEO, commented on the new partnership: “Azteca TV’s investment is a vote of confidence in the success of fantasy sports on a global level. The region has significant strategic importance and since the deal is the largest media cooperation outside the US; a game changer for fantasy sports. The capabilities and technology that Fantasy Network offers will be a growth engine for the group Azteca and expand its scope of activities, contents and revenue.”
