Stan James shops implement new OPTIMA serverless EPOS

UK gambling operator Stan James has announced that it has installed and activated OPTIMA serverless electronic point of sales system (EPOS) in its entire retail estate, having decided to make the change back in July.

“The new OPTIMA EPOS software platform is really helping us to do more with less,” Steve Fisher, founder and chief executive of Stan James, explained. “It takes much less equipment, less space and less work at shop level looking after and/or replacing worn or damaged equipment… and that saves time and costs.

“Its ease of installation, quick implementation and low costs will save us time and around £150,000 in our immediate expansion plans. That’s important in a tough bookmaking environment in which competition, taxes and regulatory requirements continually test the bottom line.”

The new serverless EPOS and the new ISHOP personal betting terminals will be showcased by OPTIMA, the headline sponsor, at tomorrow’s TVC Solihull Bookmakers Trade Show.
