PointsBet to offer online gaming in New Jersey with Twin River deal

PointsBet has signed an agreement with Twin River Worldwide which will see the operator offer online gaming in New Jersey.

The 10-year primary skin agreement will see the Australian based online sports betting operator pay Twin River a portion of net gaming revenue from its New Jersey online gaming and casino operations.

The deal, which is subject to Twin River’s acquisition of Baily’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino being completed and final licence approvals, will make online gaming available in New Jersey via PointsBet’s mobile app and website.

PointsBet is already live in New Jersey, through its sportsbook in partnership with Monmouth Park racetrack. The operator is expecting the launch to take place in the first half of 2021, after it has launched online gaming in Michigan.

PointsBet’s president of product and technology Manjit Gombra Singh, said: “PointsBet continues to innovate and iterate upon its proprietary technology profile and this agreement is yet another signal that PointsBet remains focused on providing a modern gaming experience for modern times.”

Twin River CEO and president George Papanier, added: “PointsBet will be a great addition to our growing partnerships with innovative leaders around the world.

“We are also extremely excited to have the opportunity to participate in the best-in-class mobile gaming environment that New Jersey has created and that we believe will bring new and innovative offerings to the market.”

The news follows PointsBet becoming an official sports gaming partner of National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Indiana Pacers.
