Aspire Global expands in Russia with new lottery partnership
Gaming supplier Aspire Global has expanded into the Russian market through a new partnership with Russian National Lottery operator Sports Lotteries LLC.
The partnership will see Aspire Global-owned BtoBet provide Sports Lotteries LLC with its Player Account Management module platform. It will provide access to online and retail lottery games for the Russian lottery operator, which is one of only two licensees in the country.
The agreement will cover a period of three years with the option for further extension after that point. It includes the provision of ten instant lotteries in the form of classic printed tickets for retail sale only, and five draw-based lotteries for both online and retail sales channels.

“We are committed and determined to support Sports Lotteries in becoming not only a leader in its field but also a point of reference for the Russian lottery industry.
“The lottery vertical is highly popular in Russia resulting in sales which were around €1bn ($1.18bn) in 2019.”
Aspire Global acquired 100% of the shares of B2B sportsbook and technology provider BtoBet in September this year for a total of €20m ($23.7m) in cash. The company described the acquisition as “a key part” of its growth strategy.
