Skarin appointed acting Spiffbet CFO

Swedish online casino operator Spiffbet has appointed Cecilia Skarin as its new acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Skarin appointed acting Spiffbet CFO

Skarin will assume her new position on 11 April, replacing current CFO Jens Bruno.

The appointment marks a swift rise for Skarin, who has worked as finance manager at Spiffbet since February 2020.

She will, however, be able to draw on her 15 years of financial management and accounting experience in this new role.

Skarin was the finance manager for both Destroy Rebuilding Company and Swedish Fitness Training.

Her lengthiest stint was at Vaimo, where she was the finance manager for over four and a half years. Skarin also spent a similar length of time at Sängvaruhuset, from the end of 2009 to mid-2014.

This appointment comes after the company announced revenue increases of 397% for the full-year 2021, rising significantly from the prior-year period.

The online casino has also stepped up its partnership work recently, strengthening its collaboration with platform provider Together Gaming as well as launching its game, Metal Casino, in Spain.

Furthermore, Spiffbet emphasised its intention to bring its gaming distribution platform Rhino Gaming to prominence not long ago.

Acquisitions are high on the agenda, too, as revealed by Spiffbet CEO Henrik Svensson.

He said: “We are constantly looking at acquisitions where we see good synergy effects and where the acquisition adds components that we currently lack. This is only on the condition that we do not lose focus on improving our margins and our cost efficiency.”
