RSI appoints former AGCO Legal Officer Bruce Caughill as Managing Director, Canada

RSI’s BetRivers brand is scheduled to launch in Ontario on 4 April, becoming the first Canadian province to accept online gambling in the process.

The operator was one of the first to receive its licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the governing body from which Bruce Caughill recently departed.

In his role as Chief Legal Officer, he was responsible for developing the legislative policy and approvals system for the Ontario iGaming industry.

Richard Schwartz, CEO, RSI, commented: “We welcome Bruce who, with his unparalleled legal, operational and regulatory expertise in Canada’s gaming industry, will provide strong insight, guidance and counsel in this exciting new online market.

“Bruce’s proven leadership capability, extensive experience and strategic thinking make him a great addition to RSI.”

Joining the company with over 20 years of experience in the gambling industry, Caughill previously provided strategic guidance and regulatory advice to gambling companies, as CEO of Caughill Management Consulting.

Prior to this, Caughill served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at Falls Management Company.

On his new appointment, Caughill commented: “I am excited to bring my experience in Canadian gaming to support RSI’s pursuit of opportunities in Canada. I am particularly excited at the prospect of supporting the many local Canadian employees as the company establishes its Innovation Hub here.”

Caughill will also continue a long-standing role at RSI, having served as an independent member of International Association of Gaming Advisors to RSI’s affiliated casinos.
