Everton FC agrees main partner agreement with Stake

Everton Football Club has completed a club-record main partner agreement with Stake.com.

The partnership will commence on 1 July 2022, beginning a multi-year partnership representing the highest front-of-shirt deal in Everton’s history.

The Stake.com brand will appear on the men’s and women’s playing shirts while featuring at the club’s training ground, Finch Farm, and on screens and media backdrops at its stadium, Goodison Park.

Commonly known as a cryptocurrency betting operator around the world, the Stake.com brand works exclusively as an online casino and sportsbook in the UK. It is fully licensed as such by the UK’s Gambling Commission.

Stake.com’s new relationship with Everton is another feather in its sports team partnership cap. The operator was recently unveiled as the UFC’s official betting partner in both Latin America and Asia.

Argentina striker Sergio Aguero and rapper Drake form part of Stake.com’s diverse portfolio of global ambassadors too, alongside UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Jose Aldo.

Stake.com’s Head of Acquisition, Akhil Sarin, said: “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Everton, a club steeped in tradition with a passionate and loyal fanbase respected the world over.”

Everton’s latest deal with Stake.com comes as part of a drive to increase revenue across all the club’s assets.

The club ended its main partnership deal with Cazoo at an “early” stage, supposedly helping it fend off competition from other clubs in pursuit of a partnership with Stake.com.

Recently, Everton’s owner Farhad Moshiri admitted a string of “mistakes” had been made at the club, in a season that saw it narrowly avoid relegation from the Premier League.

On its deal with Stake.com, Everton’s Chief Executive, Denise Barrett-Baxendale, said: “Stake.com is an ambitious organisation with impressive growth plans and we’re all excited to enter a partnership with them at this stage in their journey.

“We have already been working together with Stake.com on some exciting activities and content for our local and international supporters and we look forward to sharing more detail on these plans soon.”
