The eatery, named after the chef, has officially opened for reservations and will welcome diners through its doors on Saturday 25 June.

Located in the lobby of the Venetian’s Palazzo tower, Wakuda is the chef’s second venture with 50 Eggs Hospitality Group, which already operates five Las Vegas restaurants, including four at the Venetian: Chica, Yardbird, Spritz and Capri.

“We’ve been working on this concept for five years, and I am proud to finally open in Las Vegas,” said 50 Eggs Founder and CEO John Kunkel.

“Wakuda is incredibly different from our other concepts in the 50 Eggs portfolio, and a complete change of pace from Tetsuya’s other restaurants.”

The eatery will offer diners a range of classic Japanese cuisine, including a combination of appetisers, sashimi, sushi and tempura, as well as small plates of grilled items, rice bowls and cold soba.

And for $500 a head, guests can gain access to Wakuda’s omakase room. With only eight seats available, this exclusive area will purportedly offer diners “a truly personalised gastronomic journey.”

Chef Tetsuya Wakuda remarked: “After successfully opening Wakuda Singapore in April, I am pleased to finally make our debut in the magic city of Las Vegas, a city I’ve loved for quite some time.

“The omakase experience will incorporate fresh, pristine ingredients from around the world to provide guests with an unparalleled dining experience that uncovers the complexities of reimagined Japanese cuisine.”
