Eric Goldstein has more than two decades of experience as a writer and journalist, spanning sports, corporate communications, financial news, and technology.

Expertise

He’s spent the bulk of his career as a sportswriter, covering breaking and hard news and multiple sports from the high school to professional levels. He was a credentialed beat reporter covering all the major Philadelphia sports teams, including 10 years for the Flyers and Union, for various media outlets, such as nj.com, Philly Metro, SB Nation, and The Hockey Writers.

In addition to sports, Eric worked in the corporate world with a national company, crafting internal and external communications before joining the Buttonwood Tree, a start-up financial digital newspaper overseeing the Central Bank and Federal Reserve. In his most recent roles, he wrote and edited content about cybersecurity tools and for an international eSIM company.

With a background in research and analyzing data in sports, finance, and tech, Eric specializes in breaking down complex gambling industry topics into content that’s engaging, easy to digest, accurate, and useful.

Eric attended Towson University, where he graduated with a degree in Communications. During his time at Towson, Eric served as the Editor-in-Chief and Sports Editor for the student newspaper (The Towerlight).

When not at his desk, Eric enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching his son and daughter play sports, playing with his Goldendoodle, Baxter, playing basketball, and working out. You’ll find him relaxing on Rehoboth Beach in the summer and attending professional sports events throughout the year.
