MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Under his leadership, 888 Holdings completed an acquisition of William Hill from Caesars Entertainment during the summer, purchasing all non-US assets from its William Hill subsidiary for $2.35bn.

Pazner posted on social media about the benefits of the sale and the company’s commitment to responsible gambling. He commented: "We want to normalise the use of safer gambling tools as part of a customer’s experience, to ensure that everyone who plays at any of the group’s brands does so in a safe manner.

"Through our combination with William Hill, I firmly believe that we have an even stronger platform to support continuous improvements in our industry going forward.”

EMPLOYMENT

Pazner held various positions as a marketing executive for 888 Holdings during his 22 years with the company. From 2003 to 2008, he worked in the departments of European Offline Marketing and Global Offline Marketing.

He also served as the company’s Head of Global Regional Division’s SVP. In addition to his role as CEO, Pazner served as the company’s Executive Director. Prior to stepping into those positions, he held the position of COO from 2017 to 2019.

PRODUCTS LAUNCHED

As CEO, Pazner was instrumental in a partnership between 888 Holdings and Sports Illustrated, which resulted in the company’s continued US expansion. Through the agreement, 888’s users have access to Sports Illustrated content through 888’s platform.

Pazner said of the partnership: “We have established a platform for strong growth in the US through our world-class technology and operational expertise, with the Sports Illustrated brand, which will enable us to maximise the potential of this unique combination to further grow a profitable business in the US.”

“In terms of territories, the US has massive potential. But Scandinavia also has high potential as we have a relatively small base there; the Netherlands is a big potential territory; in Germany, we hope it will regulate on the right side of things. In the UK, there’s still plenty of room for growth, like we’ve shown in the last year.” Itai Pazner
