MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Hornsletten has had an extensive journey through the gaming industry. He initially co-founded BetOnBet in 2001 where he held the role of MD. He then tried his hand at entrepreneurialism again in 2008 when he co-founded EveryMatrix alongside Ebbe Groes. 

Under Hornsletten and Groes’ guidance, the company has grown into the brand it is today. Throughout his time with EveryMatrix, Hornsletten has taken on several different positions, the most recent of which saw him as the company’s CCO for four years. During this time, Hornsletten played a key role in driving the product development and commercial strategies of the business. 

EMPLOYMENT

Hornsletten began his career in gaming in January 2001 when he co-founded BetOnBet. Hornsletten served as the Managing Director of the company for more than seven years before moving on in February 2008. 

At that time, Hornsletten turned his attention to a new business venture, one that saw him co-founding EveryMatrix alongside his business partner, Ebbe Groes.  

Throughout his time with EveryMatrix, Hornsletten has played a notable role in the company’s development and has guided the brand's growth across his work in a number of different positions.  

He began as the EveryMatrix CEO, a position that he held for three and a half years from February 2008 to July 2011. Towards the back end of this period, he also took on the role of Executive Chairman, a role he worked in for more than six years from January 2011 to April 2017. 

Following on from this, Hornsletten moved into the role of Executive Director from April 2017 to November 2019 before transitioning into the role of CCO for the company. Hornsletten operated as the CCO for over four years. 

Finally, on 18 January 2024, it was announced that Hornsletten was to become the CEO of the Games Division for EveryMatrix, a position that he would be stepping into on 1 February 2024.   

Regarding Hornsletten’s appointment to the new role, Ebbe Groes, Group CEO of EveryMatrix, commented: “If it wasn’t for Stian there would not be an EveryMatrix and I’ll be forever grateful to him for asking me to join him for a drink to discuss the idea of starting this business together 15 years ago. 

“He wanted to take on a new challenge within the business to grow our games offering and he has mine and all the company’s full support. I’m certain he will immediately take it to another level, bringing enormous energy, innovation and passion to the team.”
