CEO
Flutter Brazil
A self-taught entrepreneur, poker strategist, and tech innovator, João Studart is currently serving as CEO of Flutter Brazil, formerly NSX Brasil. Following the company’s majority acquisition by Flutter Entertainment. Known for his unconventional path into the iGaming space, Studart combines a decade-long immersion in online poker with his instinct-driven leadership experience and his understanding of the Brazilian consumer in his current role.
Over the course of ten years, Studart earned recognition as one of Brazil’s top ten Texas Hold’em players. This immersive experience not only honed his analytical skills but also seeded the foundation for his next big venture: building a tech-first betting ecosystem.
In 2020, he founded Betnacional, which quickly became one of the country’s most recognisable betting brands. Under his leadership, the brand positioned itself as part of a wider digital entertainment ecosystem: Grupo NSX.
After Flutter’s acquisition of a majority stake in NSX, Studart continued his legacy as he took on the role of CEO of Flutter Brazil. His leadership now focuses on merging the group’s entrepreneurial DNA with Flutter’s international governance model.
Studart began his professional career in online poker, quickly rising to prominence as one of Brazil’s top 10 players in Texas Hold’em. He spent over a decade immersed in the online gaming world before founding Betnacional in 2020.
At Betnacional, he built a company that soon became a central part of the NSX ecosystem, integrating proprietary technology, entertainment, and strategic marketing under a single operational framework.
Betnacional’s success attracted the attention of Flutter International and, following the acquisition by Flutter International, João was appointed to lead the company’s operations in Brazil in spring 2025. In this role, he is responsible for integrating local brands like Betnacional under the Flutter umbrella while maintaining the cultural agility and strategic autonomy that made NSX successful.
As a collaborative leader, Studart is known for his openness to new ideas and his willingness to engage with stakeholders across the political, regulatory, and private sectors. His journey from professional gamer to industry executive is emblematic of the new generation of Brazilian leaders shaping the country’s betting future.
Speaking on his appointment to his current role, Studart said:
