Scientific Games signs US sportsbook trading deal with Betsson

Scientific Games has signed a deal with Betsson Group to provide the operator with its OpenTrade platform in the US.

The multi-year partnership will provide the entire Betsson portfolio with Scientific Games’ Don Best sports data pricing service, making available the supplier’s OpenTrade platform which form parts of its OpenSports product suite.

This will allow Betsson access to all major professional and college sports in the US, for both pre-match and in-play events.

The deal follows Betsson’s entry into the online sports betting market in the US, after signing an agreement with Colorado’s Dostal Alley Casino in June, to launch a proprietary sportsbook in 2021.

Betsson Group CEO Jesper Svensson, said: “Working with Scientific Games, we’re in a really strong position to penetrate the US market and provide a world-class sports betting experience to players.”

Keith O’Loughlin, SVP, Sportsbook and Platforms at SG Digital, added: “Betsson Group has strong ambitions within the US sports betting market and we’re excited to be supporting their efforts with the launch of OpenTrade.”

Scientific Games has strengthened its US offering in recent months, expanding its sports betting partnership with Betfred into Colorado.

While on 28 September, Scientific Games signed a five-year contract renewal to continue providing OpenSports to Flutter Entertainment.
