888 Holdings has announced the appointment of Vaughan Lewis as its first chief strategy officer, effective early next year.

The executive previously held the position of transformational lead for Flutter Entertainment following its acquisition of the Stars Group in May this year.

Before this, Lewis worked as SVP of communications at the Stars Group and also director of corporate development at Sky Bet.

In his role as chief strategy officer, Lewis will be responsible for investor relations working with 888’s CFO to develop the company’s investor relations strategy.

He will also support 888 CEO Itai Pazner in the development of the company’s long-term strategy, responsible for business development, including M&A.

Commenting on the appointment, Pazner said: “We are delighted to welcome Vaughan as 888’s first CSO.

“Vaughan is a highly experienced gaming industry professional with a wealth of relevant expertise across both strategic development and investor relations.

“I have no doubt that his skills and background will support 888 to identify and deliver further growth opportunities over the coming years.”

Lewis said: “I am delighted to join a great team and to help drive forward the compelling growth opportunities that lie ahead.”
