Casino Guru has launched a scholarship contest which invites students to write an essay about problem gambling in the hope to raise awareness of the risks associated with gambling.

The casino betting guide’s contest is open to college and university students worldwide with the winning entry to be awarded $1,000.

The essay involves writing about either responsible gambling, gambling addiction, adolescent gambling, gambling regulations or other closely related topics.

Casino Guru said it hopes the endeavour will help spread the responsible gambling message among students, encouraging them to gamble safely if they choose to participate, but also potentially discover any pressing issues to help with their studies.

The minimum word count for the essay is 3,000 with the deadline for submission the end of June 2021.

Casino Guru added that they “care deeply about the issue of problem gambling and spreading the awareness of responsible gambling practices. It is also necessary to educate the youth about the dangers of gambling, which we hope to accomplish as well.”

Casino Guru founder Jan Kovac said: “We hope that this scholarship opportunity will motivate students to learn more about the issue of problem gambling. But it can also bring new, innovative insights and ideas, which we can then act upon to benefit the entire online gambling industry.”
