Saville will be based in Las Vegas and responsible for growing the supplier’s global trading business, as well as overseeing its European operations and Don Best Sports, which Scientific Games acquired in 2018.
He takes over the role from Benjie Cherniak, who had been the president of sports data supplier Don Best Sports since 2009.
The new Global Trading senior director was most recently the general manager for betting at racing statutory body TAB New Zealand, a role he held for more than six years. Previously, Saville was head of product at Australian sportsbook operator Tom Waterhouse.
Commenting on his new role, Saville said: “I’m thrilled to have joined Scientific Games and look forward to the exciting task ahead. In the months ahead, I’m keen to introduce new ways of elevating our trading capabilities to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.”
SVP, Sportsbook and Platforms at SG Digital Keith O’Loughlin added: “We’re excited to unveil the arrival of Glen, who will prove to be an invaluable asset in our ambitions to drive forward our global trading service.
“With a background of working for major sportsbooks, his operator experience will undoubtedly sharpen our business delivery to a new level that will hugely benefit our global customer network.”
In November, Scientific Games reported an 18% year-on-year revenue drop for Q3 2020, down to $698m.
