Having recently been promoted from director of sales for the UK to Suzo Happ's new VP of sales for Europe, Tim Kennedy is the latest high-profile industry guest to join the GI Huddle.

TimKennedy

With decades of gaming sector experience, Kennedy was on hand to offer his insight into US sports betting – particularly in retail.

Talking us through Suzo Happ's solutions for the vertical, he also spoke more broadly about sports wagering's future.

Given the unique approach to sports betting in the US, Kennedy believes there is still plenty of life in retail, especially as the US audience embraces betting in sports bars via terminals.

It would be a great possibility for Europe would regulation allow but, for the US specifically, Kennedy thinks this ensures the growth of online will still not stand in retail's way.

In other words, a US bettor will always enjoy the immersive experience of going to a physical sportsbook or sports bar. And that's especially more so because of the social limitations created in the here and now by the COVID-19 pandemic.
