Flutter boosts gender diversity at boardroom level with double change

Flutter Entertainment has announced a boardroom reshuffle aimed at promoting gender equality.

Divyesh ‘Dave’ Gadhia and Peter Rigby will step down from the board after the operator’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29 April after the pair decided not to seek re-election.

Holly Koeppel and Nancy Dubuc have been appointed as replacements, with Dubuc to join the board as an independent non-executive director on 29 April and Koeppel from 13 May in the same role.

Gadhia steps down after being appointed deputy chair last May, serving as executive chairman of The Stars Group before Flutter acquired the operator on 5 May.

Rigby had served as an independent non-executive director since February 2016, after performing a similar role at Betfair before its merger with Paddy Power.

Dubuc joins the board from international media group Vice Media, where she has been the CEO since 2018, and was CEO at A&E Television Networks from 1999 to 2018.

While Koeppel is currently a non-executive director of British American Tobacco, AES Corporation, Arch Resources and Vesuvius.

Flutter Entertainment chairman Gary McGann said: “Since the successful merger of Flutter and The Stars Group, we have mapped out a Board renewal programme over the coming years, having regard to the scale, geographic breadth and direction of travel of the business, in addition to enhanced gender balance and diversity.

“I want to thank both Dave and Peter for their considerable commitment and good counsel and wish them health, happiness and success for the future.

“We look forward to Nancy’s and Holly’s involvement which will add enormously to the diversity of thought and perspective on the Flutter Board.”

The apparent focus on diversity follows Greg McCaw becoming Flutter’s first group director of inclusion and diversity earlier this month.
