Skrill announces Paulo Dybala as brand ambassador

Digital payments brand Skrill, owned by Paysafe (which works heavily with the gaming sector), has chosen Juventus and Argentine footballer Paulo Dybala as its new brand ambassador.

Dybala

The player has signed a two-year deal with Skrill, which will see him represent the brand to football fans worldwide.

Dybala will make his first appearance for the company in a TV, digital and PR campaign to help promote the digital wallet’s prepaid MasterCard. The advert is set to premiere in Italy on Sunday, April 8.

Speaking on the deal, Dybala said: "I’m very happy and proud to be part of the Skrill family, I’m really interested to learn more about how Skrill can help me pay online, send money to friends and buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

“Having the flexibility that Skrill can offer is super helpful to someone like me who’s always on the go, I also love that I earn loyalty points on the transactions every time I use my Skrill card”.

Dybala’s appointment builds on the company’s deals with other footballing brands, such as its recent agreement to become AC Milan’s official payments partner.

Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill, said: "Dybala is the perfect brand ambassador for Skrill, reflecting our values around the speed of delivery and our focus on providing a world-class service."
