Paddy Power outlines post-lockdown operations for reopened UK stores

Flutter Entertainment’s Paddy Power brand has announced the reopening of its UK stores and how it will operate.

In a statement, the operator confirmed all of its stores across England, Wales and Scotland are now open, while the Irish ones remain closed.

However, unlike in Scotland and Wales, shops in England will have to operate with heightened restrictions.

The restrictions include a maximum capacity of eight people on the shop floor, only two gaming machines on, all furniture removed and no live sports.

Customers may only visit each shop for a maximum of 15 minutes and can make two visits a day before shops close at 8pm.

Every store open across the UK will still need to meet the required safety measures outlined by the Government, such as social distancing and sanitary procedures.

Paddy Power instructs its customers to use hand sanitizers before and after machine use, and even discard the pen they use when placing a bet.

It also says every machine and counter in the store will have a protective screen; there will still be floor markings in-store to help customers queue safely and meet the social distancing guidelines.

For stores that remain closed, Paddy Power says customers holding a winning betslip will gain their winnings as soon as their local shop reopens.

Alternatively, if they possess an online account, they can receive store credit.
