RWM is operated by Travellers International, a jointly owned venture between Alliance Global and Genting Hong Kong.
For 2020, RWM EBITDA was PHP425m ($8.9m) despite the limited operations of the venue during most of the year due to the community restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Net revenue for the year was PHP9.4bn and non-gaming revenues reached PHP2.8bn.
In a statement, Alliance Global noted that during the year, Travellers “upgraded its Garden Wing casino, to complement its Grand Wing casino, giving RWM the much-needed capacity under the new normal.”
RWM previously reported a net loss of PHP1.7bn in Q3 2020, while net loss for nine months through September was PHP5.4bn. Gross revenues were reportedly PHP11.5bn and GGR reached PHP9.3bn during the same period.
Despite the drop in figures during the ongoing pandemic, Andrea Domingo, the head of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR), said that RWM is one of the few casinos that can run online table games and slot machines.
Online casino services is a new initiative from the regulators to allow casinos to offer online gaming services to local players in the Philippines. However, the issuance of the new licences is still in progress. “It’s all limited because we need to regulate them,” noted Domingo. “Not just anyone can play because of non-proliferation and responsible gaming.”
