The month also marks the third month in a row that Nevada casinos have surpassed $1bn in gaming revenue; the last time the state achieved this was in 2019 from September to December.
As reported by Forbes, Senior Analyst for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Michael Lawton, said: “We’re surprised, if you would’ve asked me last month, I wouldn’t have said we’d hit $1bn three months in a row.
“There’s strong demand, consumers are healthy, and visitation to the Strip is rebounding.”
The gaming board is hoping to reach the $1bn mark for a fourth consecutive month; the last time the state-managed that was from December 2007 to April 2008.
