As reported by Wales247, employees will learn how to deal games like blackjack, poker and roulette.

During the first two weeks, employees will learn casino terminology such as odds and pay-outs, the correct way to spin the roulette ball and even learning times tables up to 35, to help members cope with the speed of casino play.

Weeks three to six will outline more advanced techniques required in casinos; members will practice games like blackjack and poker.

They will receive guidance on how to deal, collect cards and announce bets or hands in games; they will also be instructed on how to manage customer pressure and ensure a high standard of service during play.

The team members will additionally learn how to watch out for cheat moves and how to open and close tables.

Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director at Grosvenor Casinos, said: “Here at Grosvenor Casinos we pride ourselves on offering our team members the chance to progress their careers with us; when we make a hire, we are committed to giving them the best possible chance to progress and have a career, not just a job.

“The Gaming Academy is something we are really proud of; we have seen a really positive uptake in participation. The past 15 months have been very tough for us all and now our casinos have finally reopened and we have our teams back doing what they do best, we are determined to give them the best career development opportunities we can.”
