The hottest topic in US gaming right now? It's certainly up there, especially after the recent NIGA tradeshow, which covered the topic extensively.

The Covid-19 pandemic has played a big part in accelerating the need to pay and play without the use of cash – especially in US casinos.

But by no means was this a trend that popped up out of the blue, with Sightline Payments CEO Joe Pappano confident cashless payments was already on the rise and, more importantly, here to stay for the long run.

Playing a huge role in the development of cashless gaming in Las Vegas this summer is the opening of new property Resorts World Las Vegas.

The casino resort's grand unveiling was around a month ago, on 24 June, and it has already made a little bit of history via its partnership with Sightline.

Hear all about that partnership, which enables customers to use cashless payments to pay for absolutely any amenity throughout the property, and more as Pappano joins the GI Huddle for an exclusive video interview.

After 30 years with Worldpay, Pappano is utilising his vast experience of the gaming and payments sectors at Sightline, preparing the company as best he can for what he sees as a cashless future:
