This agreement sees the online gaming brand become the official sports betting partner of the 11-time La Liga winning football club.
As a result of this deal, Atlético fans will be seeing a lot more of the Betway logo.
Its branding will be featured pitch-side on the LED advertising boards at the club’s home ground, the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, during domestic and European games.
Iñigo Aznar, Commercial Director of Atlético de Madrid, said: “We are very keen on our partnership with Betway outside of Spain. It is a top global player in its sector which will represent an important support to the Club's international expansion strategy.
“We look forward to starting to work together and make this partnership a great success for both Betway and Atlético de Madrid”
The partnership will also give Betway access to the team’s players for promotional content.
In a press release, the Super Group-owned brand revealed it has the production of social and digital content featuring Atlético players already in the pipeline.
Andy Werkman, Betway CEO, said: “We’re incredibly proud to become the official sports betting partner of the current La Liga champions, Atlético de Madrid.
“We’re excited to have an agreement with one of the biggest clubs involved in both La Liga and the Champions League; two of the most viewed sporting competitions around the world.”
This deal adds to Betway’s already extensive portfolio of sponsorships.
In July, the brand signed a three-year deal to become the premium partner of VfB Stuttgart, as well as signing a three-year deal with German Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt, to become the club’s official betting partner.
