Lee Fenton named as Gamesys CEO
Lee Fenton is to take over from Noel Hayden as CEO of provider and operator Gamesys Group with immediate effect.
Hayden has promoted himself to executive chairman, which Gamesys said “means that Noel will continue to lead the company’s vision, R&D and innovation agenda, have the final call on new product lines and oversee all corporate development”.
The sale of Gamesys’ Jackpotjoy brand and other assets to operator Intertain Group for an initial approximate purchase price of £425.8m was completed in April, and it was announced that Hayden had joined the board of directors of Intertain as a non-executive director.
Hayden founded Gamesys in 2001 along with Robin Tombs and Andy Dixon and has been CEO for 10 years.
Fenton has served as COO of Gamesys since 2008 and his previous roles include global director of consumer marketing at mobile phone operator Vodafone.
Robeson Reeves will move from the position of director of gaming operations to replace Fenton as COO.
Roger Devlin informed shareholders he would be stepping down as chairman at the Gamesys AGM in June, a position he has held since 2007.
Devlin is chairman of brewer Marston’s and is also an independent director of the Football Association.
