The role was assigned to JoAnna A. Epps and it brings the total number of directors to eight, seven of whom are considered independent (according to the listing standards of the Nasdaq Stock Exchange).
Ms Epps serves on the Board of Trustees at PREIT, a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns and manages shopping malls. As a Trustee, she is a member of the Nominating and Governance and also of the Audit committees.
In addition, she is an active member of the American Bar Association, the American Law Institute, the Society of American Law Teachers, and the Pennsylvania Women’s Forum.
GLPI is engaged in the business of acquiring, financing and owning real estate property for the purpose of having it leased to gaming operators in triple-net lease arrangements.
According to the company’s agreements, the tenant is responsible for all facility maintenance and all other services necessary or appropriate for the leased properties.
