J9 joins FIBA as latest ‘Global Partner’

FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, and J9.com have announced a new partnership that will see the Philippines-based betting brand get exclusive access to major basketball tournaments through 2024.

J9 will receive key commercial rights across FIBA competitions, including the FIBA Continental Cups for both men and women, the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022, and FIBA’s main event, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

“We are excited to have J9 joining the FIBA family as our most recent Global Partner,” said Frank Leenders, the Director General of FIBA’s Media & Marketing Services.

“This partnership will certainly boost FIBA’s goal of advancing the promotion of basketball worldwide while at the same time bringing fans closer to the game through new and improved experiences, including the Trophy Tour and other activities supported by our new Global Partner J9.”

This deal makes J9 the 10th ‘Global Partner’ of the International Basketball Federation, joining the likes of cryptocurrency trading platform Bitci.com, Nike, Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL, Tencent and Wanda.

The Philippines-based business will use the Federation’s platform to boost its own brand, and said it will “utilise FIBA’s top-level domain '.basketball' to promote basketball related corporate social responsibility activities on its portal J9.basketball.”

In addition, as the organisation’s ‘Official Global Betting Partner’, J9 reiterated its commitment to globalisation, describing it as an important focus, and claimed to provide a world-class gaming experience to its users.

James Chen, the MD of J9.com, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with FIBA, saying: “It is a great honour for us to become a Global Partner of FIBA and to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of basketball globally.

“With our innovative and digital ways, we are sure that we will be able to help FIBA deliver the charm and joy of basketball to more fans across the world.”
