GGPoker brings back ‘ultra-affordable’ tournament series for 2021

GGPoker has announced the launch of its annual GGSOP tournament series, to be held over two weeks between 23 October and 7 November.

GGSOP2021

With at least $7.25m in cash prizes up for grabs and buy-ins ranging from $2.50 to $150, players can be in for a chance of winning a life-changing amount of money over the course of 54 events.

Among its headline competitions are The Return NLH on 23 October with a $5 buy-in, FLIP Ladies Championship on 24 October with a $25 buy-in, the ‘MILLIONAIRE MAKER Jr’ with a $15 buy-in and ‘GGSOP MILLION$’ with a $50 buy-in and a guaranteed $1m prize pool.

What’s more, with this tournament series, GGPoker is testing a new model for its online events which it trialled earlier this year with the WSOP Online, by making buy-ins more affordable.

“GGSOP is a tournament series designed for every kind of poker player, with affordable buy-ins and lots of events to choose from,” said Paul Burke, Head of PR at GGPoker.

New players can also claim the poker room’s ‘Welcome Bonus’ and have the opportunity to earn rewards with the ‘Honeymoon for Newcomers’ promotion.

In addition, first-time entrants will automatically become a member of GGPoker’s Fish Buffet loyalty program, which offers regular cash prizes.

Burke added: “With millions in cash prizes up for grabs, we know GGPoker players will relish the chance to take down a GGSOP title.”

This news comes shortly after the launch of GGPoker’s ‘Road to WSOP Europe’ on 17 October, a series of satellite tournaments leading up to the $5.7m main event which will run through 3 to 8 December in King’s Casino, Rozvadov, Czechia.

With the GGSOP and Road to WSOP Europe, billed as the continent’s richest live event, GGPoker has a stacked season of poker planned in the run-up to its big December game.
