Premier League sides announce betting partnerships
The gambling industry’s links to the Premier League have been further strengthened this week, with two clubs announcing official betting partners.
Norwich City have signed a “multi-year partnership” with Coral, which will see the UK operator lend its name to the Carrow Road stadium’s Barclay Stand as part of the deal to become the club’s official betting partner.
The deal marks the first time the Barclay Stand will be sponsored, with the Coral name to feature on both the front and back by the end of August.
Members and supporters of the Norfolk club are set to receive “special benefits” from Coral as a result of the partnership, including sign-up incentives, exclusive promotional odds every matchday and new in-stadia betting points throughout the ground.
Matt Prevost, Coral brand director, said: “It’s fantastic to see the Canaries back in the Premier League with their exciting brand of football and we’re proud to be associated with a club with such rich heritage.”
Leicester City joined the Canaries in announcing a partnership with an operator on Monday, linking up with Betfair ahead of the 2015/16 season.
As part of the deal to become the Foxes’ official betting partner, Betfair will provide a series of exclusive offers to the club’s fans throughout the season.
