Initiated in 2017, Stake now processes over 30 billion bets a year, handling 5% of global Bitcoin transactions and 10% of global Dogecoin transactions. With this latest focus on the UK market, the new platform will offer its customers a range of sportsbooks, casinos and gaming products, all powered by TGP.
The site will see Stake’s global expansion plans exceed the core markets of Canada and Latin America, which are managed by operations teams in Australia and Serbia. It will run in partnership with TGP Europe and is licensed by the Gambling Commission.
Welcoming customers
As a welcome, Stake will be offering a number of exclusive opportunities for its UK customers within the areas of esports, entertainment and political events, alongside the more traditional betting markets.
And as a verified member of the Crypto Gambling Foundation, there are strong requirements to meet expected standards in customer fairness and transparency. So with a focus on safety, Stake’s UK site will host a range of responsible gambling tools, such as those that allow guests to set spending limits, take timeouts or self-exclude.
Stake continues to be Watford FC’s principal sponsor, so with this launch comes a special offer exclusively for Watford fans in the form of a ‘Stake x Watford First Goal Payout’ promotion. This means that if the Hornets score first in any Premier League match but fail to win, Stake will still payout on all bets on a Watford victory.
Dominic Rae, Sponsorships Manager for Stake, said: “Following a successful launch, our UK-facing and licensed website is now live, offering sportsbook, casino and gaming products to the UK.
“Customers will have access to a range of sportsbook markets including odds coverage of unique betting events in esports, as well as a full suite of responsible gambling tools, designed to offer a safe and entertaining experience to all customers.”
