Prior to the pandemic, all employees or ‘Rocketeers’ as they are internally known, were given the option to work fully remotely, meaning the staff of over 160 are now based globally.
“We really value a healthy work-life balance among our Rocketeers and we want to be able to support people to take time off when they want. At our core is trust, passion and accountability; and so moving to this model made perfect sense to us,” said Cordelia Morgan Cooper, Head of People at KaFe Rocks. She continued that “the People team will be working closely with leaders within the business to ensure our Rocketeers are taking time off to rest, recuperate, and enjoy some time out.”
As well as unlimited holiday time, there will be the chance to access mental health support through Richmond Foundation; with those employees living in Malta benefitting from the opportunity of face-to-face sessions.
Cooper explained that “as we are a remote business and don't necessarily have the same human touchpoints as we would if we were office-centric, we really want to give our Rocketeers the tools to be happy and healthy both in and out of work.”
The company believes it’s 'okay to not always be okay' and its aim is to offer support to staff through the good days, as well as the tougher ones.
