Gambling Group embracing launch of New York mobile sports betting

Affiliate Gambling Group Limited (Gambling.com), is making preparations to provide marketing services to licensed online sports betting operators in New York State.

NewYorkState

This is set to take place once online sports betting is permitted, as of Saturday 8 January at 9am.

In advance of the launch, the affiliate has created two websites specifically aimed at New York users, which will allow sports bettors the chance to find reliable information on sports betting within the state. It also has the intention of helping New York-licensed gambling operators access players through new national as well as international websites.

With over 20 million residents in New York State, Gambling.com has been making preparations for this launch for several years. Looking at data acquired through a YouGov research, it is believed that one in three New York adults are likely to place legal sports bets once regulation is in place to legalise online sports betting.

“It is difficult to overstate the significance of New York State going live with legal online sports betting,” said Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

“As the largest state by population to accept legal sports bets in the US to date, there is a massive opportunity for the New York market to be not just the biggest jurisdiction for sports betting in the country, but in the world. The group is well positioned to help operators and customers succeed in this new and very exciting market.”

Based on guidelines established by the New York State Gaming Commission, the affiliate satisfies the necessary requirements to provide marketing services to licensed operators in the State of New York.
