The operator's place on the list was determined by reviews left on Glassdoor, by current and former colleagues of the company.
Amanda Bellwood, Director of People and Culture, said: “I couldn’t be more proud of SBG for being placed on the Glassdoor list once again! We say it often, but it really is true – the hard work, commitment and contributions from colleagues is fundamental to our success. So this award is not just a reflection on SBG, but our people too.”
Last year, Glassdoor analysed thousands of anonymous reviews to differentiate and determine the best company CEO to work for in the UK, with SBG CEO Steve Birch receiving a 97% approval rate.
Previous Glassdoor Awards have seen SBG rank 17th (2018), 6th (2019), 11th (2021), and 29th place this year, in 2022, as the best place to work.
It must be stated that this year's result is actually a significant drop from 11th to 29th; but the fact SBG remains in the top 50 is rightly being celebrated.
Currently, as displayed in SBG’s Glassdoor profile, the company boasts 422 reviews, has posted 94 job vacancies, displays 603 salaries, 82 interviews, 110 benefits and 64 photographs.
Under the ‘why work for us' advertisement on Glassdoor, Tanka Lichtensteiger, SBG Engineering Manager, comments: “We give a platform to our people, help them build their confidence in communicating and building their own relationships across the company to share knowledge and ideas.”
