From next month, the Grammy Award-nominated duo — composed of Bruno Mars and rapper Anderson .Paak — will undertake a multi-date residency at the 5,200-seat Dolby Live theatre of MGM Resorts’ Park MGM property on the Las Vegas Strip.

Mars expressed his excitement about the duos’ extended engagement. In a tweet, he said: “It’s happening! The sexiest party of the year! Them Silk Sonic Boyz are performing live in Las Vegas!”

In an Instagram post, .Paak added: “The terms are locked and Vegas might not ever be the same Jack! You’re invited to the hottest show in Sin City!”

Entitled An Evening with Silk Sonic, the artists’ residency will see them perform on 13 dates from 25 February through March, ending on 2 April.

Their final show will take place the night before the Grammys, where the duos’ debut single, Leave the Door Open, is nominated for several awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B song.

Tickets will go on sale on 21 January at 10 am PST. All shows are scheduled to begin at 9 pm.

Silk Sonic are the latest in a series of acts to unveil Las Vegas residencies in 2022. As the city recovers from the pandemic, live entertainment is making a return.

British singer Adele will begin an extended engagement at the Colosseum theatre of Caesars Palace Hotel on Friday 21 January, and will perform two shows each weekend through Saturday 16 April.
