Through the partnership, PointsBet will receive access to Troon’s media channels, allowing the operator to market via web, social media, print assets and through the sponsorship of the Troon app.

Eric Foote, Chief Commercial Officer, PointsBet, commented: “Between our partnership with NBC Sports, The Golf Channel and PGA Tour, PointsBet has shown a commitment to the sport of golf through investment of our brand in the space.

“As PointsBet continues to amplify its presence in the game, we were looking to partner with an established operator that shares our corporate values and commitment to customers. This partnership with Troon helps take our connection to golfers to the next level, providing us with visibility across Troon’s unmatched portfolio of properties and multimedia platforms.”

Alongside digital marketing opportunities, PointsBet will make its branding visible across Troon’s physical locations, of which there are approximately 650 internationally, and will unveil initiatives to reward PointsBet customers with golf experiences through the US.

Scott Van Newkirk, Chief Development Officer, Troon, said: “PointsBet is a leader in the online gaming space with innovative technology that helps drive the consumer experience. We know many members and guests who enjoy our Troon-managed facilities are passionate about sports and gaming.

“We’re excited to see our partnership with PointsBet grow as gaming opportunities increase across the country.”

The companies, who are both exclusive or preferred partners with NBC Sports, are also hoping to leverage their respective agreements with the media broadcaster to further promote the deal.
