Marti has become Zitro Digital’s new Chief Operations Officer (COO), joining the Catalonia-based firm from Pragmatic Play, where he served as Country Director for Spain from April 2021.
Prior to this, Marti was a Sales Manager at Malta-based studio Hacksaw Gaming, and before that, Red Rake’s CCO, a position he held between September 2018 and November 2019.
Marti also co-founded a gambling consultancy firm in 2018, VLC Management Limited, where, among other responsibilities, he coached and developed its commercial management team and built relationships with clients.
Altogether, the Spanish exec has worked in gaming for the past 12 years, having joined VLC Gambling Media in 2010.
In a LinkedIn post announcing his new role, Marti remarked: “I am tremendously proud to join Zitro’s digital team and look forward to contributing my part to the full and effective implementation of Zitro’s land-based game distribution through digital channels.”
This news comes as Zitro looks to expand its digital footprint, attempting to cultivate a strong reputation as an online, as well as a land-based, supplier.
The company has already scored some successes in this area. It recently partnered with Codere Group to grow its digital presence in Latin America.
In response to Marti’s post, Zitro CEO Sebastian Salat commented: “Welcome on board, Jose! We are going to have lots of fun while building Zitro Digital into a global leader in the digital business, as well as in the land-based markets! Let's enjoy this exciting journey!”
