WynnBet launches online and mobile sportsbook in Louisiana

WynnBet has launched its online and mobile sportsbook in Louisiana, becoming the seventh operator to provide digital sports wagering in the state.

Alongside Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, FanDuel, Rush Street Interactive, BetMGM and Penn National Gaming, the Wynn Resorts subsidiary is now able to offer online sports betting services through its app and website.

Louisiana legally launched online and mobile sports betting on 28 January 2022.

As seen across recent state launches, particularly when New York launched online sports wagering on 8 January 2022, WynnBet is the latest operator to offer an enticing new customer bonus upon sign-up.

When a new player registers with WynnBet, deposits $10 into their account and goes onto wager $10 on a straight-bet on parlay, they’ll receive $200 in free bets.

This has been a marketing tactic utilised successfully during other state launches, especially in New York, which recently broke the sports betting record for handle in a single month, with $1.6bn wagered.

There, Caesars Entertainment garnered a 46% revenue share, offering deposit match schemes of up to $1,500, as well as giving away free NBA merchandise to those betting on basketball.

In addition to the new customer offer, WynnBet patrons will also receive access to the Wynn Rewards loyalty scheme, providing them with the opportunity to claim experiences and benefits at Wynn Resorts.

Following this launch in Louisiana, and the operator’s previous launch in New York, on 4 February, WynnBET is now live in nine states. Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia make up the other seven.

However, it must be stated that these generous operator offers may deem this type of marketing unsustainable in the long run.
