Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Bristol appoints Allie Evangelista as new President 

Allie Evangelista has been named the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino President in Bristol, Virginia, on 22 February. She will take up a position under the stewardship of Jon Lucas, Hard Rock International COO.

Evangelista has worked in every aspect of the gaming and hospitality industries throughout her career, something Lucas claims embodies “the American success story.”

Lucas has hailed the speed with which Evangelista has got to grips with her role, noting she is busy assembling a talented team to operate the resort.”   

The executive is equally as enthusiastic about taking the position, citing her passion “for exploring new and diverse opportunities. I am excited to experience the region’s natural beauty and its many wonderful music, entertainment and recreational offerings.

“As a destination-resort, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will be a perfect complement to the world-class events and attractions that draw millions of visitors to the Tri-Cities, including ones across Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.” 

Chairman of the United Company Jim McGlothlin has also praised Evangelista’s arrival, claiming: “Allie knows what works and will bring those important lessons to opening and operating the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol. We are excited to have her lead efforts to further Bristol’s stature as a major travel and entertainment destination in our region and beyond.” 

Evangelista has been in the gaming industry since 2006, when she took the role of Assistant Slot Operations Manager in Missouri. From here, Evangelista progressed to become Vice President of Casino Operations in 2014 at a casino in Iowa. 

In 2019, Evangelista became Vice President and General Manager of the Hollywood Gaming and Racetrack property in Ohio. Her most recent position was in Maryland, where she was appointed Vice Chairman and General Manager of the Hollywood Casino.  

The Hard Rock Casino in Bristol is slated to open before the second financial quarter comes to an end in 2022.
