As such, re-election was proposed for Board Members Johan Lundberg, Eva Leach, Pontus Lindwall and Peter Hamberg. New election proposals were submitted for Eva de Falck, Louise Nylén and Tristan Sjöberg. In addition, Johan Lundberg has been proposed as Chairman of the Board.
It specifies the Board should consist of seven members, four of which, including the Chairman, are independent in relation to the company’s management and major owners. In terms of gender distribution, the proposal suggests three of the Board’s total of seven are female.
The new election of Tristan Sjöberg has been suggested thanks to his 25 years of international experience in the gaming industry. This comes from both offline gaming at Knutsson Casino, the TCS JohnHuxley Group, where he currently is Vice Chairman and IGO Ltd, and online gaming through experience with Sponsio, part of Ladbrokes.
The Nomination Committee feels Betsson benefits from having Pontus Lindwall, CEO, Founder and shareholder of the company as part of the Board and has such proposed re-election.
New proposed election for Eva de Falck comes thanks to her experience as General Counsel and as a member of Group Management for Swedbank, in addition to several senior positions at Handelsbanken.
Louise Nylén has held an international career and is currently CEO for Dynamic Code. Previously holding leadership positions such as CMO for Trustly, Nylén has a Master’s degree in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.
The Nomination Committee’s statement, alongside its other proposals, will be published prior to the Annual General Meeting on 10 May 2022.
