While Triton is known for its live poker events, its new partner is better known for its online offering, but going forward, the companies are looking to combine their experience in an attempt to better engage fans.

“We are thrilled to welcome GGPoker as our premier partner this season. GGPoker brings a wealth of experience within the online gaming industry and is renowned for being at the forefront of developing innovative games and features,” said Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker Series.

“Significant live coverage has always been the cornerstone of our business, and this partnership will further enhance the thrills and spills our fans have come to enjoy at our exclusive events.”

Beginning with the upcoming “Triton Poker Cyprus: Special Edition” event, which will run from 2 April to 7 April, Triton and GGPoker will embark on a series of collaborations. These will see online satellite tournaments run on GGPoker’s platform parallel to Triton’s live events.

John Scanlon, Director of Sponsorships and Live Events at GGPoker, said: “Since its inception, the Triton Series has striven to bring live poker to the next level.

“It’s not just about the size of the buy-ins or the big-name players, but the quality of production and level of engagement it receives from the poker community.

“This partnership is the perfect synergy between two brands aligned with a common goal to bring poker to the masses through premium product offerings.”
