Holdings has appointed experienced executive Shay Segev as its new COO.
GVC is acquiring fellow online operator BwinParty and the newly created COO role will see Segev lead the integration of the firms' platforms after the deal completes, which is expected to be on 2 February 2016.
The former Playtech COO will also be responsible for strategic and operational direction across the enlarged group.
The GVC board praised Segev's "considerable expertise in online gaming, commercialising technology, product integration and platform assimilation".
Segev is currently chief strategy officer for Gala Coral Group, developing the company's omni-channel growth strategy.
He is to join GVC on 1 March 2016, initially on a non-board basis, reporting to the GVC board.
Describing Segev as "one of the leading figures in online gaming", GVC Holdings CEO Kenny Alexander said: "His knowledge and experience of integrating technology businesses across all product verticals, from casino to sportsbook products, will be central to the success of the enlarged GVC/BwinParty group."
Segev said: "I am delighted to be joining what I see as the most exciting and innovative opportunity in the online gaming industry".
He added that his experience with Playtech and Gala Coral is "highly transferable".
