Hacksaw Gaming achieves licensed status in Romania

Malta-based Hacksaw Gaming has been allocated a Class II licence to supply gaming content by the Romanian regulator ONJN. This follows a successful year of expansion which saw Hacksaw accessing several new jurisdictions across Europe; for example, the UK, Sweden, Denmark and most recently, Spain.

The company plans to share its premium range of slot games with its new Romanian customers, including titles such as Joker Bombs, Wanted Dead or a Wild and Chaos Crew.

Marcus Cordes, Hacksaw Gaming CEO, commented: “It’s another positive move for 2022. We are ecstatic to be able to provide our games to the Romanian market, and we are sure our games will go down well with our new players. We look forward to expanding our operations in this market in the coming months and consolidate our existing markets with new and engaging content."

The first operator to go live with Hacksaw's games was Netbet earlier this month.

In agreeing on terms of the partnership, the operator claimed that Hacksaw’s content would “seamlessly” integrate into its existing offerings. Netbet’s PR Manager Claudia Georgevici feels confident that this collaboration would help the company achieve its goals; namely, to deliver “the very best online casino experience.”

The start of the year saw the games provider achieve a licensed software supply status for the Isle of Man. It kicked off a string of involvement in new markets, as well as new gaming content such as the first title to be announced in 2022, King Carrot which became available on 6 January.
