The Hippodrome Casino to invest £3m in three new dining options

The Global Gaming Award-winning Hippodrome Casino will expand its existing food and drink options this summer, with three new dining facilities planned following the acquisition of an additional 2,400 square feet of space.

The casino, situated just off Leicester Square in London, already features nine food and drink options, including eight bars and a fine-dining venue, Heliot Steak House.

The purchase of additional space and redevelopment of existing areas will form part of The Hippodrome’s wider growth strategy, serving to bolster the venue’s dining, entertainment and drinking options.

CrêpeAffaire, which has 13 locations across the UK, will take up the largest portion of the new development, with 1,200 square feet dedicated to an all-day eatery serving French crêpes, as well as coffees and desserts. The venue will also play host to ‘Crêpe & Cocktail’ evenings for those visiting the casino.

The Hippodrome Executive Chairman Simon Thomas commented: “The Hippodrome has long led the way in the casino landscape, and the next phase of our development strategy is focused on elevating our position as a competitive lifestyle brand by enhancing the guest experience.

“Entertainment and hospitality are at the center of everything we do at The Hippodrome, and we can’t wait to add these three new concepts to our already extensive hospitality offering.

“We’re delighted to be kicking off with the opening of CrêpeAffaire at The Hippodrome and look forward to working closely with its creative team on this very exciting new project.”

The second confirmed venue will be Chop Chop by Four Seasons, a contemporary Chinese restaurant featuring Hong Kong-inspired dishes popular at existing Four Seasons restaurants.

A third venue, a dedicated cocktail bar with a subterranean theme, will also open later this year.

CrêpeAffaire and Chop Chop by Four Seasons, both designed by Rachel O’Toole, will open this July, while the cocktail bar is planned for later in the year.

The Hippodrome Casino won Casino of the Year at this year's Global Gaming Awards London, with the ceremony hosted last month.
