Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana generated the highest adjusted gaming revenue (AGR) from a single venue, at $36.6m.
The casino also saw the highest amount of total table wins, with $12.7m made for April.
The greatest wins from slots came from Horseshoe Indianapolis, at $23.4m, while another Horseshoe casino, Horseshoe Hammond, had the greatest amount of taxable AGR, with $29.8m eligible for tax.
The total tax generated from sports betting and casino games surpassed $74.2m for April, with Horseshoe Hammond understandably generating the highest amount of tax at $11.2m; $10.4m of which was made up by wagering tax.
In terms of tax generated from sports wagering, Blue Chip Casino generated the highest amount; $1.2m from $11.4m of taxable AGR.
Horseshoe Hammond’s generated tax has taken its year-to-date total to $97.2m, the highest generated year-to-date tax of any Indiana-based venue. Horseshoe’s Indianapolis venue also brought in a substantial $67.2m in tax for the state of Indiana, $66.7m of which came from wagering tax.
The casino operator has contributed significantly to the state’s $552.9m in total tax generated for the year, from all sports betting and casino venues.
Horseshoe will be hoping its baccarat offering remains as popular as it was this April, which handled $11.5m in bets this April. Its blackjack offering was strong too, with a table drop of $8m in April 2022.
Despite the strength of Horseshoe, however, Blue Chip Casino generated the greatest handle of $112.4m in sports wagering for the month, with Ameristar not far behind with handle of $101.6m this April.
