Betfair agree sponsor deals

ne exchange Betfair have announced two sports sponsorship deals.

The internet operators are to sponsor Europa League football on ESPN, while they have also signed up as official partner of Matchroom Sport-promoted boxing on Sky Sports.

Neogtiated by Betfair’s agency Arena Media, the ESPN deal begins on 30 August and runs throughout the 2012/13 season, covering live games, repeats and highlights shows.

The boxing agreement sees the betting firm become title sponsor at all of Matchroom Boxing’s upcoming fight nights.

Betfair are already involved with the sport as the title sponsors of the Betfair Prizefighter series, while they also support grassroots boxing through their backing of the British Amateur Boxing Association.
